Sony Sells Vaio


Sony reportedly is in talks to sell Vaio personal computer business unit of the losers and the fact that the computer industry continues to decline, eclipsed by mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets.

Sony Vaio is being discussed to sell to a new company to be established by Japan Industrial Partners investment firm. Later, Sony will have a small part in the company's shares.

According to the Nikkei business daily reports from Japan, the Vaio business unit sales estimated at 490 million U.S. dollars.

Previously, Sony Vaio reportedly will sell to the Chinese technology company Lenovo, or forming joint ventures.

However, Sony said the report was inaccurate, although the company admits is considering a range of possibilities for future Vaio.

Meanwhile, Lenovo declined to comment on the news.

If you later sell the business unit of the Sony Vaio, the Japanese company will focus on business unit mobie devices, including smart phones Xperia family that carries the operating system Android.
