Bring Google Chrome Apps to "Mobile Platform"


In September 2013, Google announced plans to bring applications to the mobile operating system Chrome. The application is also planned to be sold through Google Play Store and iOS App Store.

Now, through the official Chromium blog, Google announced that it has launched a toolset for application developers who want to install Chrome Apps to the Android or iOS platform.

Chrome is a web version of the application depends on the computer's graphics processor units and other hardware used, with the help of a specific code that is owned by Chrome.

Now, Google can also do it on a mobile device using a plug -in from Cordova that replicate and replace the Chrome API equivalent.

Google toolset created by the use toolchain is open source Apache Cordova. With this toolset, then the developer can pack their Chrome apps and distribute them via Google Play Store.

The tool can also connect by Google web API is also needed in the mobile version, such as notifications, payment ( Android only), push messaging, file synchronization system, and access to a local storage device.

Toolchain provided by Google claimed to have a workflow that is simple, so easy to use. However, this toolchain is still in the development stage and still need improvement and refinement.
